Guildburys Theatre Company
Guildburys are passionate, creative and bold, performing in Surrey since 1963. In Spring and Autumn we perform at The Electric theatre, July sees us at our Picnic Theatre venue in Guildford, and every third year we also tour our Picnic Theatre show to The Minack Theatre in Cornwall in August. We have also toured to The Edinburgh Fringe and produce plays in pubs and for the National Trust. Come and see us, or join us, or both!

Over the years we have worked with and made many friends in the Theatre World. Some of our teachers work professionally throughout the year as choreographers, dancers and singers, bringing back new ideas for the school and keeping up with what’s new. The school has an extremely high standard and our pupils achieve excellent exam results.

Merrow Dramatic Society
Merrow Dramatic Society (MDS) is a vibrant, friendly group with roots stretching back to the 1920s. We aim to produce a wide range of high quality shows whilst having fun! We stage two productions a year (usually at The Electric) and our annual pantomime at Merrow Village Hall. Formed in 2008 by Alison Lawrence and Nicole Connell, Simply Theatre is a top class theatre company which currently produce two shows per year. Musicals, Drama's and Comedies mainly but they've also been known to enter local drama festivals and even travel further afield to the Edinburgh Festival. Simply Theatre aims to create memorable, stirring shows and to give talented performers their chance to shine. New members are welcomed with open arms and whether you are a beginner or highly experienced doesn't matter, just join in to have some fun – all we ask is that you are dedicated and have a sense of humour!
